The SÉO was founded over 20 years ago under the name RDÉE Ontario. We also help communities with strategic and other planning, mobilizing partners, establishing economic projects and assisting with project planning. Renowned for his perseverance and dedication, Claude Mayer was a man of conviction who worked in several spheres, including the community sectors, cooperation, education, politics, economics, and more. Claude Mayer Memorial Golf Tournament, 2nd edition Following the success of the first edition, held on Friday, September 22, 2023, the 2024 edition of the Claude-Mayer Commemorative Golf Tournament took place on Friday, May 31. This unifying event, organized by the Société Économique de l'Ontario, was a great opportunity for business people, investors, members of organizations and key individuals from all over the province to exchange ideas and develop relationships in a venue conducive to relaxation, exchanges and the creation of links! This second edition was held at Forest Ridge Golf Course, 3525 Forest Ridge Street, Chelmsford, Ontario, in a best-ball format, and brought together participants from a wide range of backgrounds. Golf enthusiasts put their skills to the test in the company of teammates from all sectors of activity. As for novices, they were able to discover this enjoyable sport in a setting conducive to the creation of business relationships. A dinner was planned to round off the day in style and allow guests to extend the exchanges. After the golf tournament, guests enjoyed an evening of networking with players from all over Ontario. The event will bring together the francophone, anglophone and bilingual business ecosystem of the National Capital Region, and will offer a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their services and products, gain visibility, meet their audience and sharpen their sales pitch, while developing their professional network with entrepreneurial support organizations. Participation is FREE for exhibiting entrepreneurs (under certain conditions) and forum visitors. A rich program will enliven the day, with business financing panels, professional services panels, the dé-MARQUE-toi! booth competition, and a 5@7 to cap off the day and celebrate the winners of the Pitch competition from the incubator's 5th cohort.
